The things closest to your body deserve the most thought. Not the least.

\u0101tem founders: Simon Bolz and Levi Dal-Canton (Berlin), Simon Lorenz (Lisbon)

Berlin.
Lisbon.

Three friends. Two cities. One belief.

Simon Bolz designs from Berlin. Simon Lorenz makes from Lisbon. Levi Dal-Canton, also in Berlin, runs the day-to-day and carries it to the people who’ll wear it. The split is part of the brand: design where one of us lives, making where another does.

We believed men deserve a fundamentally better daily essential. Not because what we wore was failing us. Because the category had stopped trying.

We didn’t start from a problem. We started from a desire: a single garment quiet enough to disappear and present enough to last. Most categories chase loud. We chased considered.

Two years in, seven iterations done, the brief stopped announcing itself. That was the signal it was right.

Made one thing, slowly.

The boxer brief is the first product. The category we chose because it’s the most intimate, most neglected essential. The category we’ll continue with, but not the category we’ll end with.

Starting with underwear. Not ending there.
